Why is your PC making a loud noise? What can you do about it, and can we help?

If your pc is making a loud noise it is almost certainty the result of damaged hardware. The exact cause of this problem depends on what noise your computer is making. As you can imagine, a computer is full is thousands of tiny parts. If any of those small pieces break, they can cause your computer to start making loud noises.

If you hear a clicking sound inside your computer, it’s usually the hard drive. A damaged hard drive is extremely dangerous, and you should back up your data, immediately. If your hard-drive dies as a result of that clicking sound, you will lose all of your data.

If your PC is making a loud whirring sound, it could be a broken fan blade. Fan blades keep your computer from overheating. Computer fans are made out of plastic, and just like house fans, they can break. Broken fans should be replaced, because overheating can cause permanent damage to a computer. Permeant dammage to your computer is harder to fix then a broken fan blade.

Permissions not granted error

What is a “permissions not granted error” and what does it mean? Usually this error message is a networking problem. If you are on a public or shared computer, then a permissions not granted error means you are trying to do something that you aren’t allowed to access. This message could mean that you don’t have access to a specific file because you’re not the administrator of the computer.

If you’re the admin of the computer (or the owner of the computer) you can do anything you want! Why does my computer freeze when I try to turn it off?

When your computer freezes during a shut down there is something you can try. First, you should hold down your computer’s power button for 10 seconds. Holding your computer’s power button for 10 seconds is called a hard shut down. Doing a hard shut down is safe to do, and most of the time makes your computer turn off. Then let it rest for a minute or so and try turning it on again. 9 out of 10 times this works and you have no further issues. When your computer freezes during a shut down it doesn’t always mean anything is wrong with it, your computer sometimes just needs to reset. However, if it continues to freeze it can be an indication of serious internal hardware problem.

How To Install A Printer

Set Up A Windows Printer: With Windows based computers there are two ways to set up a printer. Usually the easiest way to install a printer is to plug the printer into the USB port on the computer and it will install the printer drivers automatically. But on rare occasions, simply plugging in your printer won’t properly install all of your drivers. For example, if you have bought an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier, the computer may only install one or two of the printer drivers.

The better way to install a printer is to do a manual install. To manually install a printer and the proper printer drivers you have to put the CD into your computer that came with your printer and then follow the step-by-step instructions.
