Nerds On Call Stockton Computer Repair was started at the same time as its sister store in Modesto – in 2007. Near the beginning of that year, we were starting on a journey that would end in us founding five locations – a record year. These two were founded right after Vacaville. Shane Rivers, our VP, and Merl Valles moved to Manteca and rented an apartment there.
When not running the business and being so far away from home, the two spent many hours playing cards. Both became quite the card sharks! While in this location, they actually ran all of the Nerds On Call Stockton Computer Repair for a few months. When calls started to pick up, they put the cards away and went hard to work hiring people so they could finally go home. From there they established our current office, which Nerds run out of now.
A little while after showing up in Stockton, Merl bought a Nerd mobile and had it wrapped. It serviced the two cities for a number of years, but now it’s in our home town of Redding. You know how in the Matrix where there’s a plaque that says where the ship originally came from? We won’t make any claims, but you might be able to plug into the matrix from the Nerd mobile.
In traditional Nerd fashion, we get excited about the most bizarre of things, including the Stockton asparagus festival. Sometimes we even call the city by its old name of Mudville, but only in the most loving of ways, we promise!
